“Der Klassiker” – an innovation festival!
From 3D data visualisation to the Sky Sport Bundesliga Kids Club

On the occasion of “Der Klassiker” between FC Bayern München and Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 7, the DFL and its media partners once more introduced new, innovative features. One particularly attention-grabbing novelty was AI-enabled 3D player data visualisation which can model specific scenes from a match from any perspective.

Mini drone and wired decision makers highlight new opportunities

The DFL media product, greatly enhanced once again for the 2025-26 season, delivers a rich and multifaceted football experience to fans, bringing them ever closer to the game. Impressive images recorded by the new mini drone transport the stadium atmosphere to the living room, and club leaders can be interviewed live from their seats on the grandstand.

Match Analysis Stream – off-site live video for match analysts
A new DFL service has been making the jobs of match analysts at Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs significantly easier since Matchday 1 of the 2025-26 season. The signals from five relevant cameras can now be accessed from practically anywhere.
 
Robo-Cam: new impressions captured at Bundesliga Media Days
At this year’s Bundesliga Media Days, a state-of-the-art Robo-Cam was deployed at all 18 Bundesliga clubs for the first time. It delivers ultra-precise, dynamic camera movements and unique perspectives in an authentic, club-related football environment.
