We had promised to set new standards in live football reporting during the Supercup. In retrospect we can say without exaggeration that the Supercup was a true "innovation match". Supercup produced in 9:16 format for the first time
Vertical video stream on TikTok and in Sky app

The Supercup was transmitted live via the TikTok profiles of “ran” in Germany and “OneFootball” in Brazil. In both countries, six-digit viewer numbers were reached. Sky Sports offered the mobile format through its own app in the UK.

Technology upgrades in media production set new standards

DFL’s media production for the Supercup has set new standards in live football reporting. A total of 37 cameras were used, in particular the Railcam, the data-controlled Star Cam, and a Cinematic Look camera.

An airborne look at, above and behind the scenes

During the Supercup DFL deployed a flying mini camera for the first time. It took viewers on a trip through indoor spaces such as the team dressing room, the players' tunnel leading towards the pitch, and above and below the south stand.
