Hello Reader,
The Bundesliga has returned from its winter break with a striking hunger for goals among the teams: a total of 98 goals were scored on the first three matchdays of the year 2023 – thus clearly exceeding the corresponding xGoals value of 78.54. Off the pitch, there is plenty of creativity in the world of Bundesliga broadcasting: for example, Sky presented another "Next Generation" programme for young viewers in Germany. Furthermore, the DFL, working closely with BMW, is the world’s first major football league to test Bundesliga content for in-car entertainment systems. Automated content production has been standard for Bundesliga 2 matches for some time – and even received an award recently.
