DFL, working closely with BMW, is the world’s first major professional football league to test how in-car entertainment can be combined with Bundesliga content. The trial includes both, live and on-demand content, configured to suit any user’s personal preferences.

The popularity of short-form videos in smartphone-optimised 9x16 format is growing rapidly, and Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fans are not an exception. Supplementing the match and summary broadcasts on TV, they offer authentic insights into the activities before and after the games: goals and saves, skills and tricks, scenes from the stadiums and the dressing rooms, and much more.

Towards a strategic marketing organisation at league level

DFL general meeting opts for strategic marketing partnership
The DFL is envisioning a licensing model for the new strategic marketing partnership, which would involve the establishment of a new marketing organisation. Over the coming months, the DFL management board, consisting of Marc Lenz and Steffen Merkel, will conduct negotiations as this process unfolds.
