Cloud-based remote production tested successfully

Proof-of-concept trial in Bundesliga 2
For the first time, a fully cloud-based, digital, remote production was demonstrated in real life capturing a Bundesliga 2 match. Some of the production staff worked at a TVN studio in Hanover instead of the stadium. This opens up new opportunities to streamline production processes and reduce resource consumption.

Major League Soccer to benefit from Bundesliga data expertise

DFL subsidiary Sportec Solutions signs long-term contract for North America
The cooperation partnership between Major League Soccer (MLS) and Sportec Solutions AG will greatly advance the utilisation of data and statistics during the 2023 MLS season. This includes the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms developed jointly by DFL and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to generate Bundesliga Match Facts.

Machine Learning competition on football match data
In a competition on Kaggle, an online platform specialising on Machine Learning competitions, more than 500 participating software developer teams submitted their concepts using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to identify match events during Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 games reliably and automatically. To date, this has been largely a tedious manual process.
