A suspenseful relegation battle and a longed-for Meisterschale

The league winner is clear – end of season? Not in the Bundesliga: The race for a place in the European club competitions and for survival in the top league continues, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the very last whistle! Since this dramatic battle at the bottom end of the table captivates Bundesliga fans all around the world, DFL is producing comprehensive special content. In addition, numerous extra cameras will be capturing the presentation of the Meisterschale to Xabi Alonso’s team in Leverkusen.

Remote production: Live demo at SportsInnovation 2024
High performance with reduced technical effort

Highlights at SportsInnovation 2024 included the presentation and real-life demonstration of a pioneering IP-based remote production concept. By employing innovative technologies and a centralised production studio, this approach can reduce the technical complexity and effort involved in the production of sport events substantially while benefiting from significant synergies. The live remote production was demonstrated jointly by DFL subsidiary Sportcast and several of its partners.

DFL and Immersive present use case for Apple Vision Pro

Mixed Reality (MR) seamlessly interconnects the physical and digital worlds and has the potential to revolutionise sport broadcasts. The possibilities for interaction and personalisation offer viewers a completely new viewing experience. At SportsInnovation 2024, the DFL and Immersive presented an initial use case for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 content on the Apple Vision Pro.

The highlights of the SportsInnovation 2024 programme are gradually being uploaded to a YouTube playlist. GenAI workshop with AWS at Leverkusen’s BayArena
In a workshop at the BayArena in Leverkusen, numerous staff members from DFL and its subsidiaries discussed potential future deployment scenarios for GenAI togehter with a team from Amazon Web Services.
 
Jonas Wirth new WOW Virtual Bundesliga Champion
32 competitors met for the VBL Grand Final by WOW. Jonas Wirth from SC Paderborn 07 as the winner was able to secure a 40,000 euro monetary prize plus qualification for the FC Pro World Championship by EA SPORTS.
